I am an assistant professor at the School of Foreign Languages in Shenzhen University and a researcher at the Research Centre for Language and Cognition at Shenzhen University. I was recognized by Shenzhen Municipality as Overseas High-Caliber Personnel (Peacock Plan). I got my PhD from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and worked there as an adjunct assistant professor (2014-2016). In 2016 I published a multimedia longitudinal child Mandarin Corpus, the Tong Corpus, on Child Language Data Exchange System (CHILDES) in collaboration with Prof. Virginia Yip at the Department of Linguistics and Modern Languages, Chinese University of Hong Kong. Research Interests

I am trained to do research on child language acquisition. I am also interested in Chinese Syntax and Semantics, comparative linguistics, corpus linguistics, second language acquisition, and psycholinguistics. The topic of my PhD thesis is 'Space, Events, and Language Acquisition in Mandarin', which was supervised by Prof. Virginia Yip at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. I am experienced in conducting research projects in child language acquisition, and integrating linguistic theory and psycholinguistic experiments.
