I am a plant ecophysiologist with a strong interest in the interface between plants/terrestrial ecosystems and the atmosphere. Primarily, I seek to understand how environmental variables (e.g. temperature and humidity) and plant physiological processes (e.g. photosynthesis and transpiration) interact to influence the carbon and water cycles at scales ranging from a single leaf to the globe. Research tools that are most often embraced in my research include stable isotope analysis and gas exchange measurement.
