I received the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 2014. During the Ph.D study, I was supervised by professor Wen Gao in the Institue of Digital Media, Peking Univerisity. I have contributed to  the development of new algorithms for video compression, primarily related to  next generation video codecs,  HEVC, AVS1 and AVS2. I also actively participated in the related work of standardization forums: JCT-VC, MPEG and AVS.  

I am currently a Research Fellow in Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and supervised by professor Weisi Lin (IEEE Fellow). At present, my research interests include image and video processing, image and video compression.
