My name is Ke Ye and I was born in October 18th, 1984. I obtained my Bachelor's degree in 2007 from Sichuan University and after that I went to the United States to pursue my Ph. D. degree. I obtained my Ph. D. degree in 2012 under the direction of my advisor Joseph M. Landsberg. Then I served as an L. E. Dickson instructor in the Mathematics department at the University of Chicago from 2012 to 2015. I moved to the Statistics department to work as a postdoctoral scholar from 2015 to 2017. My supervisor when I worked in the University of Chicago was Lek-Heng Lim.

My research interest is applied algebraic geometry and computational complexity theory. To be more specific, I am interested in the geometric and algebraic aspects of tensors. Moreover, I am also interested in the optimization on manifolds and algebraic varieties.
